Chiara
kee-AR-uh /kiˈɑːr.ə/
Meaning of Chiara
Chiara is the Italian form of Clara, from the Latin clarus — 'clear,' 'bright' or 'famous.' It is the original form of the name borne by Saint Clare of Assisi (Chiara d'Offreduccio, 1194–1253), who founded the Order of Poor Ladies. Claire and Clara are ultimately the same name in different language forms; Chiara is the Italian version, still widely used in Italy.
