Victoria
vik-TOR-ee-uh /vɪkˈtɔːr.i.ə/
Meaning of Victoria
Victoria is the Latin feminine of Victor, from vincere ('to conquer'). In the Roman Empire she was both a goddess of victory and a given name. In English use the name is inseparably linked to Queen Victoria (r. 1837–1901), who transformed it from a minor name into a permanent fixture. It has never left the US top-100 since 1880.
